The Meating Place is an agricultural company specializing in meat production, processing and distribution. The company is 100% black owned. The company currently runs 2 farms, Hammanskraal North of Pretoria and Farm Groot Marico west of Rustenburg. Both farms totaling 345ha of sweet grass and Blou Buffels grass.
The company currently operates in 3 parts of the meat industry value chain in South Africa.
Animal production – The production of cattle, broiler chicken, eggs, sheep, goats and pigs
Meat Processing – Animals are taken to Abattoirs where they are slaughtered, then transported to the Meating Place processing facility in Centurion where the meat is processed into different meat cuts and processed foods.
Distribution – After processing, the meat is distributed to different restaurants, individuals and also The Meating Place Kiosk and Chisa Nyamas in different townships of Gauteng, South Africa.
The Meating Place, Butchery and Deli is an independent family run business. We have been in the agricultural industry since 2006 producing livestock and we are based in Centurion with two of our farms in Hammanskraal (North of Pretoria) and Groot Marico (North West Province). We are in the process of opening a new branch in Soshanguve.
